This list includes information on the status of 95 towns, which are in progress or have been completed, and it will continue to grow as many groups are underway (there will be another 220 towns.) If you are interested in the status of funding for a town that is not covered below (and is on our Alphabetical List of Towns), please contact us at GDL Project@aol.com. . We welcome volunteers to organize fundraising or we may be able to connect you with others who are working on a town project.
Some donations do not cover costs, but because of the assistance of volunteers, they are marked as "funded."
"Needs Proofing" indicates that the translation is complete, but proofing is underway or still required. "Done" but not "Funded" indicates that the list has been acquired and translated, but not yet completely paid for.

Naumiestis 200 200 Funded Done Zhuprany 100 100 Funded Done The translated/transliterated kahal lists will be distributed as e-mail attachments to donors of $100 when each Kahal Project has been completed. You will receive this data at least a few months before it is put into our online database and before it is shared with shtetl research groups and SIGs. You will benefit not only from having the data earlier, but the Excel format will enable you to sort and search in ways not possible in the database, thus much more useful for your study.
The minimum $100 donations will entitle you to the Excel spreadsheet for a Kahal Project, and additional donations of $75 will entitle you to additional kahal spreadsheets. These donations may not come close to the actual total costs for kahal projects. So please consult the actual target cost and possibly additional kahal projects you want to support before deciding the amount you want to donate.
